Camping Lagos de Somiedo

We offer horse riding trails year-round, guided tours exploring the wildlife, plants and local heritage of the park led by an Official Tourism Guide of the Principality of Asturias, and seasonal activities such as snowshoeing in winter. Availability by time.

Horse Riding Trails — El Chugarín

Highland meadows, glacial lakes and stone cabins — all from the back of a horse

Trails through the heart of Somiedo Nature Park for all levels and ages, from two-hour rides to longer full-day routes. Highlights include Valle de Lago, Braña de Sousas and Lago del Valle. Some trails include a stop for cider out in the open countryside. Running since 1996, with full official permits and both public liability and accident insurance.

Guided Tours of Somiedo

Every season brings a different side of the park to life: spring wildflower identification, summer wildlife spotting, the red deer rut in autumn, tracking animal prints in the snow in winter. Year-round ethnographic walks take in highland summer pastures, traditional thatched stone cabins, old water mills and raised granaries. Tours available in Spanish and English.

Pet's Farm Visit

A guided visit to a real working farm: stables, a traditional thatched cabin, a water mill and raised granaries. Hands-on contact with farm animals — sheep, donkey, horses, rabbits and chickens. Designed for children's groups.
